BEWARE!

BEWARE! I have never taken the time to write a review of anything or one in my life. And as a family transferred all over this country, I have never had the misfortune of running across a medical practice, solely devoted to the making of money under the guise of practicing medicine. Dr Skinner is the half owner of this business, and has set the business practices of this office. Do not be taken in by their use of a biblical quote , it is gimick, and unless you plan ahead to schedule your minor bruises and cuts that need stitches you will be referred to the ER as this business does not take walk ins. Even though Dr. Skinner is listed as being trained in Emergency Medicine. Do not think that since you have been going there for four years or because you know the office manager who attends the same church and has taught your child in bible classes just last year, that there will be any exceptions to this rule! Week before last my 97 year old grandmother fell and bumped her head resulting in a good raspberry, and had a small scrapes on her arms. This happened right before lunch and we got to the office about 11:30. She had some bleeding on her head and dress as I did on my shirt when I took her to this office, we were refused treatment, referred to the ER and the medical staff was never made aware of our presence.because according the the office manager, Mr. Jeff Geraci, there were no appointments and it was in my grandmother's best interests. I subsequently got into an argument with Mr. Geraci, saying I just wanted to make sure she didn't need any stitches and it would only take 5 minutes to check her out. It made no difference. This practice is so concerned about their insurance, they do not take walk ins, regardless of condition or current customer status. After telling Mr. Geraci that I never thought I would see the day that a doctors office would put business practices, before the practice of medicine and that he was no Christian and that I would never set foot in that place again, I went out an put my grandmother out of her wheelchair and back into the car. I went back into the office to fill out their required business forms to get our medical records from them, and this is when Mr. Geraci accosted me, threatening to continue this arguement with me at church, by not being nice and maybe even losing his temper! A few days later, I called Mr. Geraci and apologized for losing my temper and he accepted. I have received our medical records along with a letter from Mr. Geraci , informing me of the type of doctors that each of my family members should be seen by, funny thing is that these are not the same types of doctors that are currently at this office and also that since I had informed them of my intentions to leave their business, they agreed since there was no mutual respect or agreement on the treatment of my family, effective immediately they would no longer see us. I guess sending us to the ER was their idea of treating us and I guess they misunderstood me never setting foot in there again. So unless you just need a flu shot and have an appointment, don't expect anything from these people. And for those who are sceptic about this review, I will be happy to forward you a copy of Mr. Geraci's letter and I have witnesses who where there in the lobby at the time of our visit Just ask and you shall receive. The health and well being of my loved ones is just to important to not warn others who feel the same way.
