Description:
Divided into three zones that highlight more than 500 distinct animal species, the AZA accredited Memphis Zoo is one of the nation's top zoos. In the Central Zone, guests can enter the nocturnal animals area and see these animals when they are most active or visit the zoo's two giant pandas in their habitat. Other popular areas include the zoo's own aquarium, its komodo dragon exhibit, polar bears and animals from the Tennessee region. Situated in Overton Park a few miles east of downtown, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art is just blocks away.
